Four people pass away due to airplane crash in Moscow
Four individuals lost their lives on Saturday when a small aircraft crashed in the Moscow region, according to reports from Russian authorities.
The Yak-52 aircraft went down in a field near the village of Pano in the Kolomna urban district. After crashing, the plane caught fire, though the flames were later brought under control, according to a statement from the Russian Investigative Committee.
Officials noted that the plane had departed from Severka airfield without proper clearance. The crash reportedly occurred while the pilot was attempting a maneuver known as a “barrel roll.”
A criminal investigation has been launched in response to the incident.
