Light Plane Crash Near Sydney Claims Man’s Life
According to a police statement, emergency responders were dispatched around 2 p.m. local time on Wednesday after reports of a light plane crash in Balranald, a small town approximately 700 kilometers west of Sydney.
Upon arrival, emergency teams found a man believed to be in his 50s suffering from critical injuries. Despite immediate treatment by ambulance paramedics at the scene, the man could not be saved.
No additional casualties were reported from the incident.
Authorities have secured the area as a crime scene and will compile a detailed report on the death for the NSW Coroner.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will lead the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
